Full article » Owls Throw Away Season OpenerFriday, February 03, 2012Cerritos, CA (Baseball) -- The Citrus College Baseball team gave up a five run lead over the final three innings of their season opener at Cerritos College on Friday afternoon. The Owls literally threw away their season opener as a pair of throwing errors in the bottom of the ninth led to two runs for Cerritos and a 9-8 loss for Citrus. Citrus returns seven regulars from last year’s squad that qualified for the CCCAA SoCal Playoffs. Included in that is the Owls’ getting back their top two starting pitchers from last year, and pitching, could be the key to Citrus’ success this season. Full article » Fraijo Signs With NorthridgeTuesday, November 29, 2011Glendora, CA (Baseball) -- Citrus College sophomore Shane Fraijo has signed a scholarship offer with Cal State Northridge. Fraijo accepted the offer during the early signing period, and is the second Owl from last year’s team to accept a scholarship to an NCAA Division I school.
