Santa Maria, CA (Men’s Golf) -- The Citrus College men’s golf team struggled on Monday afternoon at the WSC Event hosted by Allan Hancock College. No Fighting Owl shot under 80 the first time that has happened at a WSC event for Citrus this year.
For the second straight week Mike Vonderber came into the clubhouse with the low round shooting an even 80. All four Fighting Owls behind him were within two strokes as Tim Jenkins, Robert Parker and Andrew Nicassio all shot 81’s, while Ryan Belliston came in with an 82. The Fighting Owls shot a combined 405 finishing over 20 strokes out of out of sixth place.
The Fighting Owls will try and bounce back from Monday’s disappointing day next Monday at the WSC Event hosted by Glendale College.
