Glendora, CA (Men’s Golf) -- For the second straight season, the Citrus College Men’s Golf team is moving on at least one person to the Southern California Championships. Freshman Mike Vanderber shot an opening round 79 before closing out the WSC Championships with a one under par 71 to qualify for the SoCals.
Vanderber’s two round total of 150 led all Fighting Owls in the clubhouse. Fellow frosh Ryan Belliston fired a pair of 80’s with the second lowest Citrus combined round of 160, while Robert Parker finished just three strokes back of him with an 85 and 78.
With the conclusion of Monday’s round, Citrus’ season comes to a close with the exception of Vanderber who will participate in the Southern California Regional Championships at The SCGA Course in Murrieta, CA. Tee-time will be 7:00 AM on Monday May 10th
