1. How long have you been playing basketball? I’ve been playing organized basketball since I was five, but really I’ve been playing all my life.
2. Why did you choose Citrus College? I liked what the program was about from the very beginning. Out of high school I was being recruited by Citrus and two other community colleges, and Citrus really showed the most interest in me. I really liked the environment that they have here and the coaching staff they have.
3. How have you changed as an athlete and a student? I’ve definitely grown up a lot the last two years. I’ve learned how to put more into the game. I’ve learned what it takes to become great. I didn’t really understand that before I came to Citrus, but now I think I’ve learned how to apply myself on the court and off the court.
4. What are you majoring in? Business. I want to go into advertising when I’m done with school and basketball. I want to be able to use my mind and be creative.
5. What has been your favorite academic class you have taken so far here at Citrus? I would probably have to say English. It’s the class that comes the easiest to me.
6. Who are some of the people besides Coach Croy that have affected your life in a positive way here at Citrus? The rest of the coaching staff and my teammates. They are a great group of guys. They know how to win and know what it takes to win. I’ve learned a lot from being around them, and have become a better competitor thanks to them.
7. What are some of your best memories so far playing for Citrus? All the little things that the team does as a family. When we go on trips and just spend time together, we bond. We’ve all become very close and are a brotherhood. I have a whole lot of great memories of us doing things and just being together.
8. What is your favorite thing about going to Citrus? Basketball. It’s what I love to do.
9. Who has been the biggest influence in your life so far? My mom has had the most support for me when it comes to basketball. She has been there for me more than anybody else. Anything I’ve chosen to do in life she has always been there. She’s always worked hard to make sure I get what I need. I’d definitely have to say her, she’s a very hard worker.
10. If there was one thing that you could accomplish in the next year what would it be and why? A State Championships is the first thing. I’d also like to earn a scholarship. Those are always the two dreams that I’ve always had, and I think I can grab those two things here at Citrus.
