THIS IS A SIX WEEK ONLINE SCIENCE WITH A LAB COURSE. YES REALLY SIX WEEKS.  IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DEVOTE 20 HOURS PER WEEK TO THIS COURSE DO NOT TAKE IT IN THE SUMMER. YES I'M SERIOUS. mcunningham@citruscollege.edu ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE THESE ARE LINKED CLASSES!!  YOU NEED TO TAKE BOTH LECTURE AND LAB TO HAVE IT TRANSFER AS A b4 BIO SCIENCE WITH A LAB, IF YOU DO NOT TAKE LAB YOU DO NOT GET THE SCIENCE TRANSFER CREDIT!

Welcome! You are either enrolled in, or you are interested in enrolling in, the Anthropology 212/Lab Distance Education class. As described in the class schedule:

Lecture - an introductory study of the biological origin of humans. The course will emphasize the biology of humans, human evolution, taxonomy, pre human fossil identification, and adaption to the environment. An optional laboratory component is available.

Lab - this course is the lab component for Introduction to Physical Anthropology 212. In the lab students will have an expanded opportunity to work with anatomy, skeletal identification, taxonomy, and evolutionary 212 is required.

Details regarding the course are set forth in the class website. When you go there (see below), pay particular attention to the syllabus section and the weekly schedule section.  

Blackboard and WingSpan Information
(Notice:  All Blackboard courses will be available on the first day of classes)

  • Update email on WingSpan so it will load to Blackboard
  • Your WingSpan ID becomes your Blackboard Username
  • Your WingSpan PIN number (six digits only) becomes your Blackboard password
  • To change these on Blackboard requires you change them on WingSpan
  • Data will be transferred from WingSpan to Blackboard on a regular basis

Once you get to the welcome page, click on the Introduction to Physical Anthropology/Lab course link on the right, and you will go to the course site. Please familiarize yourself with the course site and if you have any questions please email your instructor with your concerns. Get your textbook and get started with your initial assignments. A major key to your success in this course will be keeping up with both the reading and the other assignments.
