DSP&S Testing Information and Student Responsibilities

  • Stephanie Capriulo and Sally Serrano will be responsible for the booking, processing, and proctoring assistance of all adapted exams.
  • Students will show their official Education Accommodations signed by DSP&S staff to their instructors.
  • Prior to each exam, students are to inform their instructors that they will be taking their exams in the Testing Center.
  • Students only need to schedule appointments it they require and are eligible for a reader, scribe, large print, Braille, or specialized software.
  • Appointments must be made one week in advance between 8:00AM and 10:00AM in person, by phone, or email.
    • If appointment is made by phone, you must speak with a staff member, voicemails will not be accepted.
    • If done by email, you must receive a conformation stating that your appointment has been confirmed. Emails received after 10:00AM will be scheduled no sooner than eight days from the date of the email.
    • Note: The date and times of exams requiring proctoring assistance (reader and/or scribe) will be subject to availability of DSP&S testing staff and may be changed. If any changes are made, notification will be made by email. If the appointment date and time does not fit into the class schedule, the student must inform the instructor.
  • There will be no DSP&S exams on Friday or Saturday.
  • If a student is 15 minutes late to a testing appointment, they may have to reschedule.
  • If students have two no shows for scheduled appointments or fail to cancel exams in a timely manner, then their accommodations will be suspended until they meet with a Testing Center staff member and a DSP&S counselor/advisor.
  • Individual rooms will only be available for students requiring a reader, scribe, or specialized software.
