Public Policy Institute of California - Research sponsored by this private, nonprofit institute focuses on three program areas: population, economy, and government and public finance. The website includes the full text of many PPIC reports.

Sociological Tour - This site (put together by professors at Trinity University) offers commentary, data analyses, essays, and many, many links to other useful websites in the discipline.

Sociosite - This comprehensive website, sponsored by the University of Amsterdam, provides access to the world-wide scene of social sciences, striving to provide a comprehensive listing of all sociology resources available on the Internet.

Urban Institute - This institute "analyzes policies, evaluates programs, and informs community development to improve social, civic, and economic well-being." The website is searchable and provides complete reports on many social issues.

U.S. Census Bureau--Contains census data on topics related to population and household economics, business and industry.
