My Citrus Story- Joshua Gaglia

As if we are now, and later we shall be.

When I was a senior at Bonita High School, I thought I knew what I wanted to do with my life. After I was accepted into Cal Poly Pomona as an engineering student, I realized I wasn’t as settled as I thought.  The more I thought about the required coursework for engineering – particularly all the math courses – the more I knew I wanted to do something else.  I just didn’t know what that would be.

I decided to attend Citrus College, joined the Honors Program, and encountered instructors who provided me with helpful information and wise counsel. In particular, Professor Brian Waddington took extra time to mentor me.  Through our discussions and interactions, I began to become more focused in my goals and discovered I wanted to pursue a career in business.

My hard work paid off when I was accepted at some of the most influential business schools in the nation, ultimately choosing the prestigious University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business over USC, UCLA, and others.  Before I attended Citrus, I didn’t know what I wanted to do.  Now, I’m getting the chance to achieve my highest dreams.
